Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair
You may want to get a robotic vacuum that is specifically designed for pet hair when you have cats or dogs in your home. These models are able to hold suction that can pull up fur strands, food crumbs and other food particles as well as cat litter spills.

1. Eufy RoboVac ElevenS
The Eufy RoboVac 11S is a low-cost robot vacuum that has some fantastic pet hair-busting features. It's quiet and has a decent-sized dirt compartment and battery, and it can do auto cleaning for up to two minutes in spot cleaning mode. It also comes with BoostIQ, which automatically switches between a 'Standard power" and the 'Maximum suction" to give the best performance, based on the floor type.
It doesn't map rooms like Roomba does however, it does come with a reactivity obstacle avoidance and drop sensors that keep it from crashing into other objects (like cats or dogs) or slipping down the stairs. It can also stop and resume cleaning while it collects debris and moves it to the charging base. It also has an automatic self-emptying feature as well as the dustbin is small, so that you don't need to be able to see or feel what it's sucking up.
When we test the 11S, it performed well on bare floors and a carpet that was medium with cat hair. It did not perform well on high pile carpets and had a harder time with heavier debris like cereal and kitty litter. However, it performed better than most of its rivals. It also climbed over low lying obstructions like cords easily. It also avoided pet hair stuck on the wheels and brushes.
We observed that the 11S did not perform well with hair from dogs as other models, but the amount was less than in other tests. The 11S has some limitations as well like not being able to schedule and having a small range of voice commands. However they're not major concerns.
While the 11S is a great choice but we recommend looking into other robot vacuums with higher-end features. The iRobot Roomba 960, for example, is better built and is easier to maintain with a bigger dirt compartment as well as a faster recharge speed and smart pathing, and is better on all surfaces than the eufy. The iRobot also clears more pet hair and comes with an even larger array of features to help with your home automation needs.
2. Deebot T10 Omni
The Deebot T10 Omni offers a premium hands-free cleaning experience for floors. It's one of the most powerful robot vacuums available on the market, and comes with excellent litter collection and pet hair capabilities. It's also compatible with smart home assistants such as Alexa and Google Assistant, making it easy to tweak your cleaning schedule and use voice commands.
Its obstacle avoidance capability could be improved. The T10 Omni tends to bump into loose cabinet baseboards and furniture and gets stuck in tight corners of the home. It also slams into furniture to move out of rooms, which could cause damage to furniture and surfaces. The T10 is a bit haphazard when it comes to navigating as well. It is often entangled with things like cords or socks that it can't see through the pile of clutter.
The new T10+ is an better model. It comes with a superior navigation system, and it does not come with the camera that was on the previous models. Ecovacs has instead chosen to utilize lasers and structured light to help it navigate around objects. This is a good move, as it helps the T10 avoid obstacles and furniture more efficiently.
Additionally to that, the T10+ has an automatic dust bin that is self-emptying and docks that automatically clean and dry mopping pads to avoid the buildup of bacteria. It also has a powerful suction capacity of 8,000Pa and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. It's also the most expensive robovac in our lineup however it's an excellent choice for large homes with a lot of carpeted areas.
While best self emptying robot vacuum and mop for pet hair have a certain level of intelligence, some are more advanced than others. For instance, some offer the capability to create a custom cleaning schedule and select which rooms to clean. Some have larger dust bins which reduce the frequency at which you have to empty them. Others have tangle-free brush rolls to reduce the amount of long hair that is taken up and thrown into the dust bin. Some vacuums have a lower volume of noise, which is beneficial for those who have sensitive ears. Many robotic vacuums work with smart assistants that allow voice control, and they can be connected to smartphone apps for monitoring cleaning progress.
Roomba 960 from iRobot
The Roomba 960 is one the top robot vacuums for pet hair. It was a great performer in the majority of our tests. However, it experienced some difficulties with obstacles like carpet tassels, rug tassels, and rug. It is also a bit more expensive than some of its competitors. However, it has more features and a better navigation than other models we tested.
It comes with a huge dustbin, as well as an invisible wall that prevents it from entering areas you don't want. It is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and allows you to control the robot with voice commands. It did not do better on carpets than the 980 or our favorite one, the Neato Botvac D80, but it did manage to do a good job.
It's a bit more expensive than the D80, but it has an impressive set of intelligent features and a larger dustbin. The 960 is an excellent option if you're not worried about losing navigation and obstacle detection, but still want to have an excellent dust collection. It is also less expensive than the 980. This means it has fewer cost-per-use.

The Roomba is iRobot's top of the-line robot vacuum. It's the best model they have to take on pet hair. It's more expensive than other options however it comes with the features that make it the most efficient robot vacuum on the market. It comes with a tread to navigate uneven floors and the suction to pick up cat litter scattered across your home. It also comes with connectivity to allow you to manage it remotely and schedule cleanings.
It's the smartest robovac we've tested to date and is based on iRobot's most advanced software to draw out your home's layout and determine the best course of action for each cleaning cycle. To do this, it uses cameras, an onboard sensor, and a special algorithm known as VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).
Despite being able to find its way to your home with ease the Roomba 980 isn't an ideal machine. Its quick cleans left behind a smattering of sawdust on vinyl and a decent amount of pet hair on carpet. It is able to be manually directed with the help a virtual barrier to keep out these areas.
You can set these up with the iRobot app and place them near your pets' food and water bowls or any other area you'd like to keep clear from. The 980 comes with an option called Power Boost mode that can help keep hairs from falling onto the floor.
In terms of user experience is concerned, the 980 is pleasant to use. Its large central CLEAN button is easy to find and presses down with satisfying click to begin the cleaning process. Three buttons are on the exterior of the robot: a power switch, an agendar, and a reset. You'll also be able to control the robot by using voice commands and a smartphone with the iRobot app.
